Why do date formats matter in an agreement?
A numerical date can be read differently across markets.
Verify the actual first payment, quote expiry and notice dates rather than interpreting an ambiguous format from habit.
Keep the provider's clarification in the record and use unambiguous dates in your own notes. This is an administrative check, separate from any legal deadline that must be verified locally.
